About the Dereham & Fakenham Times
The Times was born on February 7. 1880, as eight pages of tightly
packed print and was an offshoot of the People's Weekly Journal
which first appeared in 1864.
In those days there were two editions known as the Dereham and
Fakenham Times and, perhaps tactfully, the Fakenham and Dereham
Times. And once again we have two editions of the Dereham and Fakenham
Times - the Dereham Times and the Fakenham and Wells Times.
The paper circulates in an area stretching from the golden sands
of Wells and Holkham, through to Fakenham and down to the Brecks
and Dereham, calling in at all the villages in between.
The Times is full of local stories, pictures, coming events, sport,
your views through our letters page plus competitions, a puzzle
page and advertising.
The Times is always looking for news from your area, village, organisation,
school or business - so get in touch with us.
