A 'substantial' sum of cash was stolen from a Fakenham pub manager when he was robbed in his car. Steve Lowe, manager of The Hungry Horse on Greenway Lane, was driving a silver Toyota Rav4 towards Little Snoring when a white transit-sized van pulled up and created an obstruction in the road, forcing him to stop.

A windsurfer was rescued at Wells on bank holiday Monday after his rig broke in high winds. The man, in his 40s and from the King's Lynn area, was one of about 30 windsurfers in the harbour taking advantage of blustery conditions, which reached 45-50mph.
