Train tragedy man named
15 February 2010
A Dereham man who died after being struck by a train at a level crossing in Norfolk has been named.
An inquest has opened into the death of Mark Lake, of Byron Avenue, who was found dead at a level crossing at Swainsthorpe on Sunday evening.
The 47-year-old died as a result of “multiple injuries”, an inquest at Norwich's Assembly House heard yesterday.
British Transport Police have confirmed it is not treating the death as suspicious.
Last year it was reported that five people had been killed at level crossings in the Norwich area since 2005, mostly suicides, with three deaths at the Swainsthorpe crossing.
