It was the first calendar with eyes only for Dereham in over 100 years - and it proved a hit across the world.

The aboutDereham partnership decided to make the calendar towards the end of 2023 and use all the profits as donations to local charity, Love Dereham - selling out within six weeks.

"The only record we can find of a Dereham calendar before the new one is one that was printed in 1912 by TJ Freeman Music and Fine Art Warehouse of East Dereham”, said Carolyn Coleman, secretary of aboutDereham.

Local photographers came to the aid of the group and donated their best images of Dereham to the cause.

"One of the great things about the calendar is that local people bought it to send to relatives overseas," says Mike Webb, chairman of aboutDereham.

Mr Webb handed over the cheque to Keith Mersh, chairman of Love Dereham at the community fridge, based at the rear of Green Pastures book-shop.

The aboutDereham Partnership is already accepting images from local photographers for the 2025 calendar.
