A woman in her 40s died after suffering a cardiac arrest at an address in Great Ryburgh, near Fakenham.

The East of England ambulance service was called to Highfield Close at about 3.30pm on Tuesday, June 13.

A spokesman said: “We were called to reports that a woman in her 40s was in cardiac arrest in Highfield Close. Despite the best efforts of crews she sadly was pronounced dead at the scene. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.”

A spokesman for the East Anglian Air Ambulance confirmed that one of its helicopters also attended the scene, and it is understood that Prince William was the pilot.

An eyewitness said: “Rapid response paramedics, an ambulance and two police cars were in attendance.

“The Prince waited with the helicopter for around 40 minutes before taking off.”

The Prince joined the service in 2015 but will leave in the summer, to concentrate more on his royal duties.
