A number of changes to bus services in Norfolk will be introduced later this week.

Konectbus is making some revisions to its timetables across the county from Sunday September 17 in order to “improve punctuality, enhance the network and meet demand.”

There will be extra buses on the network and the extension of routes across the county - but some buses will be pulled.

Route 3 and 6 (Watton, Hingham, Norwich)

A revised timetable will be in operation with extra running time following the introduction of new speed limits in Wymondham and congestion at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

The 3.45pm 6 service from Norwich to Wymondham will no longer be in operation due to low passenger numbers.

Route 4 (Swanton Morley, Dereham, Mattishall, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, Norwich)

The 2.15pm from Norwich will continue to Swanton Morley which means there will now be an hourly afternoon service between Norwich, Dereham and Swanton Morley. And on non-schooldays the 4pm from Dereham to Norwich will commence at Swanton Morley at 3.40pm.

Bus times between the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and the city centre have also been revised to improve punctuality due to congestion in the area.

Route 5A (Blofield Heath, Brundall, Norwich, Eaton)

Konectbus is introducing a new Sunday service between Blofield, Brundall and Norwich. The journeys will depart Blofield Medical Centre at 10.30am and 2.23pm, returning from Norwich at 10.07am and 2.00pm.

Buses towards Eaton will now depart from St Stephens Street stand BR, not BQ.

Route 5B and 5C (Stalham, Horning, Wroxham, Dussindale, Norwich and Great Plumstead, Dussindale, Norwich)

The 7.20am 5B service from Horning to Norwich via Wroxham and Dussindale will depart five minutes earlier to help punctuality into Norwich. The 3pm 5B service from Horning will now also operate Mondays to Saturdays. The 8.30pm 5B service from Norwich to Rackheath has been extended to Salhouse.

The 4.20pm 5C service from Norwich to Great Plumstead has now been extended to Salhouse and Rackheath but the 4.55pm 5C service from Great Plumstead has been withdrawn.

Also some 5B journeys on Sundays and Bank Holidays have been extended to and from Stalham.

Route X6 (Attleborough fast, Norwich, Sprowston)

The majority of the journeys on the route are being extended beyond Norwich Bus Station to Sprowston Tesco Blue Boar via Castle Meadow, Norwich Rail Station and Harvey Lane. The service to Sprowston exists Mondays to Fridays but the extension to the Rail Station will exist on Saturdays for Norwich City home matches at Carrow Road.

A new 4.00pm departure from Attleborough to Norwich and a new 9.00am service from Norwich to Attleborough will operate on Saturdays.

straight8 (Toftwood, Dereham fast, Norwich)

A revised time table will be in operation Monday to Saturday during peak periods to help address punctuality. A revised Sunday timetable will also be in place.

Route 9 (Attleborough, Wymondham, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital)

The route has been extended to give a direct bus service between Attleborough and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

Route 12 (Dereham town circular)

The route will now pick up from Dereham Market Place opposite Lloyds Bank and not outside Barclays.

Route 50/50A (Mousehold Heath, Norwich, Eaton Park/Cringleford)

The route will now serve St Stephens Street stand BR towards Eaton Park/Cringleford instead of stand BQ.

Route 500 (Norwich, County Hall)

It will now serve St Stephens Street stand BS instead of stand BQ.
