Breckland councillor Gordon Bambridge is known for being articulate in the council chamber but he will now be honoured for his achievement in the field of communication.

In recognition of his outstanding public speaking he will receive the Communication Achievement Award from the Dereham Articulate Speakers Club.

Linda Whiteley, club president, said: “As a club we strive for excellence in communication and leadership and we recognise Gordon as an outstanding speaker and communicator. He is a worthy recipient of this prestigious award, the first to be given in this region.”

Dereham Articulate Speakers Club meets on alternate Monday evenings at Meeting Point, Jubilee Suite, St Withburga Lane and is part of Toastmasters International.
