Two Fakenham fire crews put out a fire in rubbish and discarded tyres on the former RAF Sculthorpe site yesterday,

They were called to Tattersett at about 8.10am and about 20 tyres were on fire as well the rubbish.

It took about 40 minutes to bring it under control.

A fire service spokesman said it was some distance from the mountain of hundreds of thousands of tyres which has been dumped on another part of the airfield.
