New era for Dereham Lions as first woman appointed chair

There Dereham Lions have appointed a new presidents following their changeover presentation at The Millwrights in Toftwood.

Pam Goldsmith was handed the chains of office by outgoing president Vic Brown.

Ms Goldsmith is the first female to hold this post in the long history of Dereham Lions and so marked a new era for the group.

During the evening Lions also presented a further donation to the charity Blood Bikes, having previously supported them in the past.

Dereham Lions were also kept busy during the two days of the Norfolk Show handing out name wristbands to children to reassure parents their children could be reunited with them if they got lost.

They meet on the second Wednesday of every month at The Millwrights in Toftwood at 7.30pm.
