Members of FADLOS, the amateur dramatics society in Fakenham, are celebrating the success of their 50th anniversary production of Sister Act, where they raised money in memory of one of their members who died this year.
The group raised £750 for Cancer Research UK in memory of Roy Ferris who sadly passed away in June.
Mr Ferris was the marketing and publicity member of the society for several years, and actively involved alongside his family.
A cheque was presented to Fakenham Cancer Research shop manager Sandy Atkins.
FADLOS sold more than 1,200 tickets to the Sister Act production and received standing ovations.
Members are still smiling with pride.
The small society has worked hard continuously to make sure that ticket prices stay affordable and the quality of the production stays high.
Founding member Avril Temple, who starred as one of the nuns, said: “I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate 50 years of FADLOS.
