Four men have been arrested on suspicion of going equipped to steal after their van was pulled over by police.

The men, aged 18, 25, 27, and 47, were underway in Hockering near, Dereham, when officers stopped them and found their vehicle loaded with stolen goods.

The arrests happened just before 1am this morning (Friday, October 27) in Wood Lane, and the men were still in custody this afternoon.

A police spokesman said: “Four men have been arrested after police stopped a vehicle in Hockering near, Dereham, in the early hours of this morning.

“The vehicle was stopped shortly before 1am on Wood Lane and officers found a number of tools, gloves and suspected stolen property.

“Four men, aged 18, 25, 27, and 47, were arrested on suspicion of going equipped to steal and were taken into custody at Wymondham Police Investigation Centre where they remain for questioning.”
