The children at Mattishall Primary School have been busy making things to sell at their annual Christmas Bazaar.

They included fabric gingerbread men tree decorations, hedgehogs out of unwanted books, pickles and chutneys from school grown produce, snowmen/women from socks, Christmas tree decorations and edible treats, crackers, biscuits and snowman pegs.

Lewis, in Year 6, organised his own stall. He has been busy making handmade wands all year.

Reception children made festive playdough, coconut burfi and a personal tree decoration.

Mattishall & District WI sold refreshments.

The event was organised by the school PTA, Starship, who are raising money for the new library bus project.

Head teacher Mr Chapman said: “The school would like to say a massive thank you to all who helped and supported this event. It was a brilliant atmosphere, enjoyed by all.”

Children have also written letters to Father Christmas this year. They then took them to the post office where they bought stamps and posted them.
