Year two pupils, who have been studying the history of medieval Norwich, had a fun filled day of activities that brought the period to life. on Monday, October 16.

The children took part in typical medieval activities, including jousting, jestering, feasting, and banqueting.

They also experienced the fun of archery, in a session which was run by Goldcrest Outdoor Activity.

Lots of the children managed to hit the archery targets, and enjoyed learning the new skill.

The afternoon was finished off with a medieval banquet, which the children dressed up in their own costumes for.

They ate cheese, bread and grapes, before the day ended with each class performing a medieval dance, which they had been working on in P.E., to the rest of the year group.

Toftwood year two teacher, Charlotte Clarke, said: “It was a great day, enjoyed by all.”
