Mr Raper’s friend and former step-brother Lewis Denmark said: “No words will ever do you justice. We may not have been as close for the last few years but I’m truly honoured to have known you for the last 21 years. So many memories I’ll treasure forever.

“We went to school together. Played football, cricket, golf and snooker together. We went on many family holidays together. We watched NCFC up and down the country together.

“We played video games together. We went out together. We laughed together. Not to mention the hundreds of hours we spent together in the garage!

“You were the perfect step-brother and friend to share my childhood with. You have been taken far too early but you will never ever be forgotten!”

Mr Raper was a keen cricketer and played for Norfolk, Bradenham and Dereham.

Norfolk Cricket paid tribute on Twitter and wrote: “Everyone within Norfolk Cricket is devastated to hear of the passing of Bradley Raper.

“He came though our county-age-group programme at U10 until U13 and then went on to represent both Bradenham Cricket Club and Dereham Cricket Club. All our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends.”

Dereham Cricket Club also held a players meeting to remember him and his time spent playing for the club and posted: “Everyone at the club sends our condolences to Sallie and all the family.”

As a fan of Norwich City FC, he travelled around the country watching them play and was a season ticket holder at Carrow Road. Fans of the club are now attempting to organise a minutes applause on the 24th minute of the next game to remember him.

Others have also paid tribute on social media. James Harbour wrote: “Always in our hearts bradders, division one champion” and Neil Irons posted: “I’ve known you from boy to man, never a bad word, so well liked, cheers Bradders.”
