A Norfolk teenager who dreams of taking to the track as a Formula One driver has been offered the chance to compete in a major national motorsport competition.

Lewis Galer, 14, from East Lexham, has the opportunity to compete in the Ginetta Junior Championship, the UK’s longest running Junior racing series, but to secure his place on the grid he needs to raise £20,000.

The young racer hopes his newly launched crowd funding campaign will be enough to allow him to take part in the championship this season.

“I am extremely proud to be given this opportunity,” he said. “However raising the money to make this happen is not easy, I am now determined to keep trying to make my dream come true and achieve a position that I have always wanted on the grid.”

To help give Lewis compete you can contribute on his crowd funding webpage.
