Norfolk sixth form art students are joining forces to raise awareness of Macmillan Cancer Support with a new exhibition.
The students from City College Norwich, Great Yarmouth College, Paston Sixth Form College, Dereham Sixth Form College, Smithdon High School, and Norwich School have been tasked with creating their own interpretation of legacy through their preferred art medium.
Legacies or gifts in wills are vital to charity’s and make up a third of Macmillan’s entire income.
The exhibition will take place at the Forum, Norwich, from December 1 to 4.
The winner will be invited by Norwich University of the Arts to spend a day, tailored according to their specific interests, getting hands on experience of what it is like to be a degree level art student at one of the UK’s leading centres for art education.
Jonathan Frost, senior regional legacy relationship manager for Macmillan, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the interest we have received from local students and judges alike who seem really excited about taking part. The theme of the exhibition has really captured their imagination.”
