Fans at Carrow Road took part in a minute-long applause on 24 minutes during their home win against Aston Villa in memory of Mr Raper, from Scarning, near Dereham, who was killed in a car accident near Thetford.

Todd and his brother Jordan Cantwell, who is Mr Raper’s friend and will be one of his pall-bearers, both posted on social media before the game to try and raise awareness of the applause.

In a tweet, Todd Cantwell said: “Would like to thank the fans for the support last night! Friends and family together as one! 3 points was “For you Brad”. Love you brad fly high.”

He also held up a shirt at the end of the game which read ‘For you Brad’.
