The Swaffham and District Lions have held a service to mark 100 years of the Lions International.
A collection at the event, which was attended by over 150 people, raised £310 for the Merle Boddy Centre, which the Lions were pleased to present them with.
The service was led by the Vicar of Swaffham, Reverend Janet Allan, with contributions from the Catholic, Baptist and Methodist churches.
It also included readings highlighting the work the Lions do in the community.
Swaffham Lions president, Pam Tallon, talked about the Lions community work, and highlighted the support they received from businesses, supermarkets and the public.
Prior to the service the bells were rung to mark the Lions Centenary.
The congregation represented local clubs and societies as well as those who had benefited from Lions fund raising events.
After the service many enjoyed refreshments and reviewed the photographs of the Lions work over the years.
