Police are appealing for information after vans with false or foreign plates were seen behaving suspiciously.

Officers from Norfolk police’s Operation Randall send out a weekly newsletter on rural crime. This week, they say a silver Ford Transit on foreign plates seen acting suspiciously at a caravan storage unit in Hopton. A white Mercedes Sprinter on false plates has also been seen acting suspiciously in Fakenham.

A white Ford Transit van with blacked out rear windows has entered a recycling yard in Pullham Market and taken some empty cable reels.

They add: “We are starting to take reports of unknown persons offering to sell Generators and power tools from vans at your doorstep, These sellers will not offer any consumer protection, so we advise you to say no and report these incidents to police and trading standards.”

Anyone with information should call 101.
