Aldiss Park Bowls Club welcomed Holt Bowls Club to their green for a friendly match.

The weekend game was the fourth between the clubs.

As usual it was keenly contested, with Holt finishing as winners.

In the Men’s EBA League Aldiss Park lost to Northwold by 59 shots to 62 shots. Top Aldiss Park rink was David Hicks, Andrew Cameron, Terry Cator and Steve Dembicki.

Whissonset League results: Aldiss Park beat Gressenhall 10-0, top rink David Bruce, David Gamble, Steve Dembicki; Aldiss Park beat Sculthorpe 10-0, top rink Phil Juby, Keith Mason, David West 19-13; Aldiss Park beat Whissonset 10-0, top rink Richard Scott, Sid Buck, Denis West 26-6.

Meanwhile Dereham Indoor Bowling Club are holding a beginners course’ on Saturdays (10am to noon, equipment supplied). The junior section is continuing on Fridays 4 to 6pm.
