Awards handed out at Dereham Indoor Bowls Club

Dereham Indoor Bowls Club’s presentation evening took place last Friday, with all league winners, and club and county winners and runners-up receiving shields plus trophies.

For the first time a runner-up prize was awarded for the juniors. The evening was completed with a buffet and raffle.

Janet Newell was ladies’ singles winner, Peter Webster men’s singles winner, Bradley George junior singles winner and Jake Chapman junior singles runner-up.

The list is now up in the club for the 2018 World Bowls Championships at Potters, for January 2018. A coach will leave the Leisure Centre at 8am and return from Potters at approximately 6.30pm.

There will be a men’s singles game, plus two mixed pairs. lunch and two semi-finals of the mixed pairs. For more information see Terry at the club or phone on 01362 525 042.

This Saturday the B team will have their final roll-up at 2.30pm before the season starts on October 21.
