Bradenham Wanderers up to second after thumping away win

Bradenham Wanderers moved up to second in the Premier Division of the Anglian Combination on Saturday after recording their eighth win of the campaign.

Wanderers moved above Norwich CEYMS, who lost for the first time this season, courtesy of an excellent 5-0 win at Beccles.

George Watts-Sturrock scored two of the goals while Joel Brien, Lee Moran and Jack Hood were also on target.

Wanderers moved two points ahead of CEYMS - beaten 2-1 at Blofield - but the Norwich side have three games in hand.

Leaders Harleston maintained their perfect record following a narrow 1-0 win away at Hellesdon thanks to Scott Roberts goal.

It was an afternoon to forget for Mattishall, who were hammered 5-0 at St Andrews with Charlie Rowe (2), Sam Whiting, Ryan Pye and Lee Jones-Blackett getting the goals.

Bradenham are at home to Waveney on Saturday while Mattishall entertain Reepham Town.

Fakenham Reserves beat Caister Reserves 3-2 at Clipbush Park in Division Two. In Craig Rutland’s first match in charge goals from Joe Harrison (2) and Callum Brain sealed the three points.

The Ghosts’ second string are at home again on Saturday, with Martham providing the opposition, while Wells Town - without a game last weekend - welcome league leaders Easton to Beach Road.

Wells Reserves were beaten 3-1 at home by Dussindale Rovers in Division Five North, with Jay Myhill getting the consolation. They are away to Narborough on Saturday.
