Dereham Golf Club’s Mixed Open won by visiting pair

Dereham Golf Club held their annual Mixed Open Greensomes Stableford on Sunday.

The winners were visitors Peter and Margaret Beckley from Newmarket Links who scored 43 points.

Second place went to John Matthews from Nene Park and Sue Matthews from Spalding with 41 points while Michael Handley from Marriott Sprowston Manor and Patricia Blythe from Ryston Park were third with 39 points. Fourth position on countback went to Michael and Christine Whyman from Sheringham (38).

Nearest the pin on the third went to Ann Lockhart from Eaton, longest drive to Michael Handley (Sprowston Manor), near the pin on the 12th Margaret Beckley (Newmarket Links) and nearest the pin on the 17th Mick McCreery (Nene Park).

Tracey and Amelia Williamson lifted the Carrick Cup at Sheringham after beating Barnham Broom’s Jo Ashmore and Ellie Brown 2 up.
