Protheroe rounds of league season with some excellent runs

Under 20 age group athlete Nathan Protheroe, who is a member of both Dereham and West Norfolk Athletics Clubs, competed in his final East Anglian League meeting of the season which was held at the Norwich UEA sportspark.

With no U20 men’s 110m hurdle event in this league, Nathan was just competing the sprints.

It was in these that he grabbed a brace of personal bests, the first coming in the 100m sprint (NS) race where he finished in first place with a time of 12.1 seconds. Later in the afternoon he put in a strong run in the 200m, coming in first in the B race with a time of 24.7 seconds.

Earlier Nathan travelled down to Hendon to the Allianz Park, home of the Saracens Rugby Club, where he represented Norfolk in the Youth Development League in which he was competing in the 110m sprint hurdles. He crossed the finish line in a great time of 16.33 seconds, winning the B race by a good margin.
