The weekend saw 12 junior and two senior Dereham runners tackle the elements on what was a very windy and cold day over in Thetford in this year’s Norfolk County Cross Country Championships.
Sunday saw the third Ryston Runners cross country event of the season at Shouldham Warren.

West Norfolk/Dereham runner Nathan Protheroe travelled down to Reading to represent Norfolk in the UK U17/U20 Youth Development League on Sunday.
Last Sunday saw 11 Dereham Junior Runners travel to the coast to compete in the East Anglian League at the Great Yarmouth athletics track along with team mates from Thetford AC.
Some Dereham juniors were out at the weekend representing their schools and colleges in the Norfolk County Schools Championships which were held at the UEA Sportspark in Norwich.
The Norfolk Athletics County Championships were held at the Norwich UEA Sportspark.
Seven Dereham juniors made the trip to Peterborough to compete in the EYAL in a combined team.
Dereham Juniors, along with one senior, went to West Norfolk’s Lynn Sport to take part in the first East Anglian League meeting.
Dereham’s junior runners took a trip to the east coast where they competed in the Great Yarmouth open meeting.
