Stuck for something to do this weekend? Here are a few suggestions for the mid and north Norfolk area.

Thursday - Alderman Peel High School, Wells. Screen next the sea presents Obsession, a live recording from the stage production at the Barbican Theatre in London. Starring Jude Law. 7pm, tickets £10 online at www.wellsmaltings.savoysystems.co.uk.

Friday - Holkham Hall’s walled garden, outdoor cinema, Rocky Horror Picture Show presented by the Luna Cinema. Doors open 7.45pm, film 9.15pm. Food and bar available or bring your own picnics. General admission £14.50, concessions and premium rates available from www.holkham.co.uk.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday - Folk in a Field Festival, in a woodland clearing on the West Acre estate, a diverse mix of performers from the acoustic, folk and roots music scene. Headliners Nepomuk and Creeds Cross. Also craft demonstrations and locally produced food. www.folkinafield.co.uk.

Saturday - Beetley, Friends of St Mary’s School summer fayre, 12pm to 3pm, games, races, stalls, bouncy castle, tug-of-war, refreshments.

Saturday - Dereham, King’s Park pre-school summer fete, 11.30pm to 3.30pm, toy sale, stalls, bouncy castle, games, face painting, refreshments.

Saturday - East Lexham midsummer quiz, 7pm for a 7.30pm start, on the play area at East Lexham. Tickets £7 per person, which includes an item from the BBQ. Bring your own drinks and nibbles. Maximum teams of six, contact Emma Barratt on (01328) 700652 or Carol Hood on (01328) 700964, or come on the night. It is held outside in a marquee, so please note the weather on the day. All monies raised will go directly to helping the annual maintenance of the play area.

Sunday - Lyng Fling and car boot sale, 12pm to 3pm, Lyng sports Field, behind the Village Hall, Richmond Place. Food and drink, fun and games, attractions and displays, goods and crafts stalls, 01603 872238 or email: lyngfling@mail.com.

Sunday - Walsingham Primary School, fete, craft rair and car boot sale, raffle 1st Prize 43” TV, football raffle 1st prize signed framed England away shirt, stalls, display of birds of prey, vintage cars and bikes, dance display, performance by the children, fire engine and police car and more. Free entry.

Sunday - Mileham open gardens, 11am to 4pm, 12 varied open gardens, large and small, established and new, refreshments and maps in the Village Hall, £3 per person, proceeds to the Village Hall.
