Norfolk’s skies will be lit up over the next few evenings as people enjoy the traditional Bonfire Night festivities.

Police and fire services have issued safety advice ahead of the event and are urging people to attend organised events rather than set fireworks off in their own gardens which can upset neighbours and pets.

Head of Community Safety at Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service Stuart Horth said: “We would urge people to act responsibly at this time of year. We would always advise people to attend organised firework and bonfire events if they can as the appropriate levels of safety will be in place. It’s also often a better experience being part of a large crowd.

“If people have to have a bonfire themselves, it’s important to keep an eye on it at all times and watch any children which are present. Many animals also don’t like fireworks so keep your pets indoors. Of course we want people to have a good time while celebrating, but we would urge them to do it responsibly while thinking about others.”

With that in mind we have searched out some of the best organised events in our area, and a little bit further, for you to enjoy.
