A fundraising goal to help a teenager diagnosed with cancer for the fourth time has been reached.

Harry Cottenden, founder of Help Delete Cancer Football Club, took to social media to make the announcement.

It comes following 14-year-old Lewis Atkins’ fourth diagnoses of cancer.

The teenager from Dereham has lost an eye and both leg bones to the disease.

A JustGiving page was set up to help him and his family while he undergoes treatment and has seen people dig deep to raise more than £2,000.

Mr Cottenden said he was “delighted” with the support.

“Lewis is a true inspiration to the world.

“Thank you to everyone who’s shared, supported and donated. Let’s not stop there! Lets go above and beyond and smash it further.

“Can we reach the next thousand mark? Let’s make it happen.”

On Saturday May 18 a celebrity all-star day has been set up by Help Delete Cancer FC at Fakenham Town FC.
