The Victorian Norfolk home in which actor Stephen Fry grew up is on the market for 995,000.
The impressive seven-bedroom Booton House, near Reepham, was in the Fry family from 1965 to 2000 and in his autobiography, the celebrity said he had kept a 'tattered and torn' picture of the property in his wallet for years and it had 'touched him deeply.'
The three-storey Booton House was designed by Whitwell Elwin, the village's rector for 50 years, as a thank you to Elizabeth Holley, who contributed 1500 a year for 20 years towards the re-building of the village church.
The property has been extensively modernised from the time when the Fry family first lived in it and there was no mains water supply and no central heating.
The house is being sold by Norwich-based agents Jackson Stops and Staff.
