Dereham residents have asked police and partner agencies to combat Christmas related crime and anti-social behaviour across the neighbourhood.
Concerns were raised at a Community Action Group (CAG) meeting which highlighted three priorities to be tackled over the next two months.
They will focus on anti-social behaviour at Dereham Recreation Ground, retail theft, and anti-social behaviour after dark in Dereham town centre in the run-up to Christmas and the New Year.
Since the last CAG meeting the Kickz football project was launched and problems have decreased significantly in the area around the recreation ground but police will continue to monitor it.
The Neighbourhood Policing Team has also engaged with local youths about their behaviour around Doris Barnes Court and it is hoped that this issue has been resolved.
It was also noted that halloween and bonfire nights had passed without any problems.
The next CAG meeting will be held at 7pm on Wednesday, January 13 at Elizabeth House, Walpole Loke, Dereham.
