A market town charity shop is taking to eBay to maximise its income - and it needs locals' help.

The Sue Ryder shop on Greenway Lane, Fakenham is launching an eBay hub, akin to what the charity already does from its headquarters in Northampton.

Donated stock will be photographed, listed and distributed from Fakenham, meaning items will no longer need to be sent more than 100 miles away before going to customers.

The shop team is now looking for volunteers to help make the hub as functional as possible, with training being provided by the charity.

Karen Shore, Sue Ryder's retail volunteer co-ordinator for the east region, said: “The response to this added service has been positive so far, so as it progresses, we can only see it becoming more popular.

“The money raised from the sale of the items will help Sue Ryder to provide services.”

Sue Ryder supports people living with life-limiting and long-term conditions.
