While you could opt for just a starter, main or dessert, a tasting menu offers the chance to fully experience the culinary delights on offer.

1. The Wildebeest

Where: Norwich Road, Stoke Holy Cross, Norwich, NR14 8QJ

A Michelin recommendation and two AA rosettes are just some of the accolades that The Wildebeest has notched up in recent years.

Located south of Norwich in the village of Stoke Holy Cross, the fine dining restaurant uses fresh, seasonal ingredients to celebrate the produce available in Norfolk.

A seven-course tasting menu costs £85 per person but in March and April, you can enjoy its range of dishes for £65.

2. Benedicts

Where: St Benedicts Street, Norwich, NR2 4PE

Headed by chef Richard Bainbridge, Benedicts has been named one of the best restaurants in the UK and continues to regularly win awards.

It offers a number of tasting menus which also cater for vegetarians and vegans, if pre-ordered.

Tasting menus start at £57 and can be accompanied by a wine pairing for £29. 

3. Ingham Swan

Where: Sea Palling Road, Ingham, Norwich, NR12 9AB

In north-east Norfolk, Ingham Swan has developed a reputation for its food, gaining three AA rosettes and a Michelin recommendation.

Its seven-course tasting menu can be enjoyed for £85 per person and a wine pairing is an additional £40.

4. The Neptune

Where:  Old Hunstanton Road, Hunstanton, PE36 6HZ

With an emphasis on seafood, The Neptune in the coastal town of Hunstanton has become a popular destination for foodies.

It offers a tasting menu for £95 per person with dishes such as Brancaster mussels served with a cauliflower puree and chicken skin or turbot with morel mushrooms, Salsify and roasted bone sauce.

5. Stoke Mill

Where: Mill Road, Stoke Holy Cross, Norwich, NR14 8PA

This restaurant is located in a former mill once used by Colman's in its mustard production.

But today, it offers fine dining dishes using fresh, local ingredients.

A tasting menu starts from £85 per person.

6. Morston Hall

Where: The Street, Morston, Holt, NR25 7AA

Morston Hall in north Norfolk is owned by renowned Michelin-starred chef Galton Blackiston, offering hotel stays and fine dining.

Its seven-course tasting menu changes daily and can be enjoyed from £135 per person and is available from 7pm.

7. Kings Arms

Where: Main Road, Fleggburgh, Great Yarmouth, NR29 3AG

This Norfolk pub is well-known among the county's foodies and it has garnered a number of accolades in recent years.

It offers a seasonal tasting menu with dishes such as pigeon breast and lobster bisque, with prices starting at £65 and a wine pairing for £25.

8. The Old Bank

Where: Lynn Road, Snettisham, King's Lynn PE31 7LP

The Old Bank in Snettisham is an intimate, family-run fine dining restaurant close to the coast.

It offers two tasting menus to enjoy. A smaller six-course menu is available for £55 and a longer nine-course menu is also on offer for £70 which can be enjoyed with a wine pairing for £49.

9. Roger Hickman's Restaurant

Where: Upper St Giles Street, Norwich, NR2 1AB

This long-running fine dining restaurant can be found to the west of the city in Upper St Giles Street.

It offers a number of different tasting menus offering five - seven courses and also caters for vegetarians.
