Enjoy a knees-up with your family or friends at these upcoming beer festivals in Norfolk, with live music to keep you entertained too.

1. Gressenhall Beer Festival

Where: The White Swan, Gressenhall, The Green, NR20 4DU

When: May 19 and 20: 12noon-10.30pm, May 21: 12noon-6.30pm

The 500-year-old White Swan pub, which was purchased by the community in 2019 to secure its future, is holding a three-day beer festival in May.

There will be more than 20 beers to enjoy alongside live music and street food.

Buy a beer card in advance at ticketsource.co.uk/whiteswangressenhall and the first 100 people receive a free beer glass.

2. City of Ale

Where: Pubs and bars across Norwich 

When: May 25-June 25 

The City of Ale first launched in 2011 and it will return bigger and better than ever in 2023, taking place at pubs and bars across the city. 

There are also nine ale trails running, each reflecting a Norwich trade, with badges available at the end.  

See the participating venues at cityofale.org.uk, with a launch party at The Waterfront on May 25.

3. Great Yarmouth Beer and Circus Festival

Where: The Drill House, York Road, Great Yarmouth, NR30 2LZ

When: May 25 and 26: 5pm-11pm, May 27 and 28: 12noon-11pm 

This annual event will feature beers and ciders from breweries across the region.

There will also be a 'best of' awards ceremony judged by East Norfolk CAMRA and Lacons as the lead supporting brewery.

The 2023 event will welcome a huge injection of circus and other live entertainment, all included in the £3 entry fee - book at outtherearts.org.uk

4. Jolly Ale and Music Festival

Where: The Jolly Sailors, Main Road, Brancaster Staithe, PE31 8BJ

When: June 16-18 

Much-loved coastal pub The Jolly Sailors, which boasts a beer garden with beach huts, is hosting a festival in June.

While the details and timings are still to be confirmed, it will include real ale, ciders and live music.

5. Morley Beer Festival and Family Fun Day 

Where: Derek Daniels Playing Field, Golf Links Road, Morley, NR18 9SU 

When: June 23: 5pm-11pm, June 24: 12noon-11pm

This huge beer festival will include a real ale and cider bar, featuring 35 Norfolk breweries, a gin and cocktail bar and street food trucks. 

There will also be live music from the likes of Dirty Havana and The Foreign Locals, a makers' market, free circus workshops and shows and much more.

Tickets must be purchased in advance at linktr.ee/MorleyFestival which starts at £12 a day for adults, with under 14s free, and it raises money for local charities.

6. Norwich Oktoberfest 2023

Where: Epic Studios, Magdalen Street, Norwich, NR3 1JD

When: October 6 and 7, 6pm

Tickets always sell out for this Oktoberfest party so make sure to book early to secure your spot at epic-tv.com - prices from £15pp. 

It will feature a selection of authentic Bavarian beers in steins, Bratwurst and live music from NightTrain and oompah band The Bavarian Strollers.

7. Norwich Beer Festival 2023

Where: The Halls, St Andrew's Plain, Norwich, NR3 1AU

When: October 23-28 

Norfolk's biggest beer festival is organised by the Norwich and District Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).

It will include hundreds of cask-conditioned real ales from Britain's independent brewers, along with draught and bottled beers from around the world, and a large range of traditional ciders and perries.

There will be live music and food available too, with tickets available for the festival nearer the time (free for CAMRA members).
