From a night of American rock to a play about rival artists told through mime - there is something for everyone coming up at Dereham's Memorial Hall.

The hall's Friends' group has revealed its autumn programme, starting on Friday, October 6 with a classic American rock night, featuring the ‘Take It Easy Show’.

The band has been touring the south of England playing tracks by Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Bruce Springsteen, The Doors, Bob Dylan and ZZ Top.

The children's show Splat! will take place on October 25. The show is aimed at three to seven-year-olds and tells the story of a rivalry between two artists in mime and clowning.

Tim Cara, from the Friends, said: “We’re really excited to bring Splat! to Dereham.

“It’ll take place on the floor of the hall, so the children will sit on the floor, or on cushions if they bring them, and there will be chairs for the grown-ups, which is a new way for us to present a show.

"The children will have the thrill of being close to the action, which is great when there is clowning and slapstick."

The season wraps up with a concert for fans of swing and jive.
