He was 13 when he started uploading videos to YouTube - now nine years and 810,000 subscribers later, Matthew Park makes his living on the video platform.

The 22-year-old from Dereham is celebrating reaching the landmark subscribers number and has his eyes on hitting the one million mark.

Mr Park launched his channel, Cookie Cutter, in 2014, focusing on the popular online game creation system, Roblox.

“Being a YouTuber full-time is still crazy to imagine, it’s something that I love doing and the fact that I can create content that millions of people will sit and watch still blows my mind,” he said.

“Since I’ve been doing it for nearly 10 years it kind of took a while to get momentum, as you adapt and improve through your content your viewership will gain.

"It was passion which fuelled me at the start, since you couldn’t get paid for YouTube then, plus I was only 13 at the time.

“The concept of doing this as a job wasn’t even possible but through the growth of my channel, I’ve been able to work with sponsors to be able to make it a full-time career.”

Mr Park started working on his channel full-time after completing his graphics degree at Norwich University of the Arts.

His channel has now had more than 132 million views.

He first got videos monetized when he was in college and decided to go full-time shortly after graduating giving up his freelance graphic design side job.

Mr Park said he receives nothing but support from his family - but still gets confused looks when he tells people he is a Youtuber full-time.

He said his goal now was to create content that will inspire and educate, and wants to launch projects with charities to raise money to help the environment.

He said he also hopes to expand the business by moving into a warehouse or a studio, and he is looking into having a team.
