A man better known for his burgers is branching out in a completely new direction - cars!

Stewart Hodgson, founder of Big G’s Diner in Dereham and Fakenham, has teamed up with his son, Cameron, and mechanic Craig Myhill to open Big G’s Auto on the Greens Road industrial estate in Dereham.

Cameron and Mr Myhill will be in the driving seat of this venture, which is just yards away from Mr Hodgson's mobile diner.

The garage is serving up everything from vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, welding, and servicing.

The business has opened at the former home of Everhard Electrical, which closed in September. The Hodgsons were discussing the idea with Mr Myhill, while he was working on their cars.

Cameron said: “Craig has been my dad’s mechanic and mine since I started driving, we met then and we know he is reliable - so we thought there is no one better to have as a partner than him.”

Despite having just opened, Cameron said they were already “snowed under” with bookings.
