A housebuilder has donated to a charity battling loneliness and food poverty.

Barratt and David Wilson Homes Anglia contributed the sum of £3000 to Love Dereham, a charity dedicated to supporting vulnerable people in its community and surrounding areas.

The charity, founded in 2011, focuses on promoting health and personal well-being by addressing difficulties such as loneliness, social isolation, and food poverty.

The donation will be used towards supporting the main projects of Love Dereham, including initiatives such as the Community Fridge, Community Lunch, Hardship Fund, and Emergency Food Parcels.

“This generous contribution will make a real difference in the lives of those facing hardship in our community.”

The financial assistance was supplied through the Community Fund scheme via The Barratt Foundation.

This scheme is part of the efforts by Barratt Developments, the parent company of Barratt and David Wilson Homes, to support charities across the UK, leaving a legacy in the communities where the developer operates.
