A leading travel magazine has named Norwich and two other Norfolk locations on the shortlist of its 2024 national awards.

The Group Leisure & Travel Awards recognise the best providers, attractions and destinations for groups, as chosen by the magazine's readers.

This year, Norwich was named one of six shortlisted finalists in the Best UK Destination category, along with the Thursford Christmas Spectacular for the Best Christmas Experience and Potters Resorts for the Best Accommodation For Groups.

The Best UK Destination category is defined as a location offering an unforgettable trip that continues to impress with its variety of attractions, accommodation, dining options and transport links.

The Best Christmas Experience recognises events that go above and beyond in acknowledging the importance of the festive period for groups.

Coming up against Blenheim Palace, Christmas at Kew, Gloucester Quays, Hever Castle and Waddesdon Manor, the Thursford Christmas Spectacular will be representing Norfolk.

Last year, the Spectacular was named one of the "50 best Christmas shows, concerts and films to see this December" by The Telegraph.

Potters Resorts, offering all-inclusive breaks in Hopton on the Norfolk coast, made the shortlist in the Best Accommodation For Groups category.

Last year, the resort topped the list as the winner of a new Which? survey of Britain's best holiday parks.

Group Leisure & Travel describe their magazine as: "Brilliant ideas and tips for people who organise days out, short breaks and holidays for groups through our magazine, website and weekly newsletter."

The 2024 Awards Dinner and Ceremony will take place on June 27 at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London.

Votes must be received by April 28 and can be made via the online voting form.
