A woman arrested on suspicion of dog abduction in a Norfolk village has been re-bailed.

Police have confirmed the woman in her 50s, who was arrested as part of an investigation into the theft of a husky puppy from a home in Mattishall, will now answer her bail in mid-February.

Cocoa, a husky cross German shepherd, was stolen a few days before Christmas from the village near Dereham.

She was then sold to a family in Southwold, Suffolk, where Chloe Marie, who co-owns Cocoa with her partner, later found her.

On the day Cocoa was stolen, Miss Marie was rushing to get the bus when a woman knocked on her door.

Miss Marie had to go back inside her home to get a bottle of water but when she returned, Cocoa was missing.

The incident was reported to Norfolk police and a woman in her 50s was arrested shortly after.

She was then released on bail until January 29 but has now been re-bailed until February 18.
