A farm shop has opened a huge new site that is more than four times bigger than its previous home.

Algy's Farm Shop just off the A1067 in Bintree has a whole new look which was seen by the public for the first time earlier this month.

The new purpose-built structure is directly next to where the old shop was, which will now be transformed into a café - a first for the farm.

The shop had a great launch weekend, proving popular with customers looking to shop for products sourced from around Norfolk and the rest of East Anglia.

"People have flooded in from the moment we open in the morning.

"Customers are totally overwhelmed and also really grateful, which has been so lovely.

"Now we are just working to keep on top of the stock as it is absolutely flying off the shelves."

Due to the enormous size of the building, staff members are on hand to help guide customers around and track down the items that they are looking for.

Ms de Capell Brooke added: "I can count on one hand the products that people feel are missing, and those gaps will be plugged before the coming weekend.

"We want to stock everything that our customers are after."

As a local producer himself, farm owner Algy Garrod has a passion for sustainable and local produce and is supporting other businesses around Norfolk and East Anglia by stocking their products in the new space.
