A free Dementia Awareness Talk event will be held in Dereham next week.

Home Instead Mid Norfolk is hosting the Living with Dementia – The Essentials talk on Thursday, July 24.

The event is aimed at providing practical information and support to those living with a dementia diagnosis and their caregivers.

The talk has been curated by esteemed dementia care expert Beth Britton MBE.

Tom McEwan, co-owner of Home Instead Mid Norfolk, said: "Navigating a dementia diagnosis, whether for yourself or a loved one, can be incredibly challenging and often leaves many with unanswered questions."

The talk will cover understanding life with dementia, practical support tips, and connecting with useful local resources.

"We understand that information from memory clinics or online searches can sometimes feel fragmented," Mr McEwan said.

"That's why we've brought in an expert like Beth Britton MBE to provide a comprehensive session designed to offer practical support and clear guidance."

The event will be held at 10.30am at Toftwood Social Club and is free to attend.
