An overnight road closure is planned for Reepham later this month, with motorists warned of disruption.
Station Road will shut from its junction with Kerdiston Road to its junction with Market Place.
This is to undergo duct laying, with the works carried out by BT and a temporary traffic order in the area.
The closure will be in effect from April 15 to 18 between 7pm and 6am.
A spokesman for Norfolk County Council said: "The order shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 30th May 2026 without further notice.
"If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date the order is effective".
A diversion route will take motorists via Station Road, Cawston Road, High Street, Aylsham Road, B1149 Holt Road, Norwich Road and Link Road Roundabout.
It will then direct people through Briston Road, Dereham Road, Fakenham Road, Reepham Road, and Bawdeswell Road.
The route will add around 44 minutes and 28 miles onto journeys.
