A new networking event for Norfolk businesses and sole traders is launching this month.
The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) says the event, taking place at West Lexham, between Swaffham and Fakenham, on April 23, will help them make new connections and find out more about local support and funding available to them.
It will feature an expert talk about how businesses can improve sales, delivered by award-winning business mentor, Kathy Ennis.
The FSB is a not-for-profit business membership organisation that campaigns on behalf of small businesses to influence government policy on key issues like late payments, energy and skills.
It also delivers practical support and networking events across the UK.
Candy Richards, the FSB’s regional manager for East Anglia, said: “Running a small business can at times feel isolating, which is why networking is so important.
"You never know who you will meet and often a new connection can turn into a long-term client or collaborator.
“With a community of over 500,000 small businesses, we know that the current climate is quite challenging. That’s why we wanted to deliver an expert-led sales session to help local businesses learn new skills to help drive up sales.
“West Lexham is a really stunning location set in over 20 acres and run on organic principles. An inspiring and peaceful nature haven, it is the perfect backdrop for our business networking event.”
West Lexham regularly hosts a range of retreats and events. The beautiful grounds include a chalk stream-fed lake, organic garden, and sanctuary garden with a magenta pagoda, plenty of seating, streams and stone dragons.
The site also includes several tree houses that are available to hire for holidays and short breaks.
