As Jon Horrox prepared to go on his first park run in Dereham, he had no idea that it would lead to him nearly losing his life.
Mr Horrox was about 300 metres in when he collapsed and suffered a cardiac arrest in June 2025.
He received treatment from other runners, first responders and paramedics on the scene.
"I had no warning it was coming", said Mr Horrox. "I was about 300 metres in and had no pain, but just went out like a light.
"Thankfully, there was a defibrillator at the park run only a few hundred metres away and I had a stent fitted in soon after.
"I had to sit still for a long time and there was a period where I couldn't do anything, but eventually I got the confidence to go back to the gym."

Now, just over a year later, he is due to take part in a 24-mile walk around the county with his wife, Gill, as a thank to his lifesavers.
The couple will undergo Trek 24 Norfolk on Saturday (June 6) for East Anglian Air Ambulance, which played a key role in Jon's treatment.
Mr Horrox said: "I started training a couple of months ago. I've not done the route before, but I'm feeling confident.
"Me and my wife have been on Macmillan sponsored walks before, but it's been a couple of years since we've done anything.
"East Anglian Air Ambulance is very special to us. They invited us to look around their headquarters and they've been very good at keeping in touch and we just wanted to give back."

The charity walk takes place annually, with this year's route taking walkers around the Sandringham Estate.
So far, Mr Horrox and his wife have raised £75 for East Anglian Air Ambulance.
He added: "It's been really great to see. Most of it has come from family and friends and my wife and I managed to get enough sponsors.
"Myself and my family are incredibly grateful for the care and support we had on the day. It really shows the National Health Service at its best."
