A team from Dereham Otters made a significant impact at the Colchester Summer Sprints Open Meet.

The seven swimmers returned with 10 medals, despite being one of the smaller clubs at the event.

They faced strong competition from across the region but managed to secure five gold, two silver, and three bronze medals.

The team showed their skills and determination, with some swimmers achieving personal best times.

One standout performance came from William Nutt, who finished second in the challenging IM Skins competition.

This event tests swimmers across various strokes and distances, making his achievement noteworthy.

The Otters swimmers supported each other throughout the meet, both on poolside and in the water.

Head coach Sam Watts praised the squad, stating: "The swimmers represented the club brilliantly, showed great character throughout the competition and were rewarded with some excellent results."

The positive results provide encouragement as Dereham Otters look forward to upcoming competitions.
