A water leak in a Norfolk town has caused an emergency road closure near to two schools while the road is dug up.
Westfield Lane in Dereham, is planned to be closed until Friday, July 3, due to a water leak.
The road closure is close to Toftwood Infant and Junior schools, with the closure likely to cause long delays during school pick up and drop off.
Deputy mayor of Dereham, Stuart Green, said: "The works team are still digging up the road as they try to find the leak in the pipe. Once they find it they’ve got a replacement pipe ready to go in.
"Crew on site are scheduled to work until midnight tonight, then return tomorrow.
"Depending how quickly they find the problem bit of pipe depends how quickly it gets replaced, fixed and road resurfaced."
Temporary traffic lights are also scheduled to be in place on East View until Friday, which Westfield Lane meets.
