Drivers are facing gridlocked traffic after two separate incidents on the same stretch of road in a Norfolk town.

Dereham High Street is currently partially blocked after a person was hit by a car near Argos, just before 2pm today.

The extent of injuries remains unclear at this stage, and the East of England Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.

The second incident happened just a few meters away, where a lorry clipped the side of a building and is currently blocking the road.

Police remain at the scene to assist with traffic.

According to the AA Traffic Map, long queues are building in the town.
