Neighbours have spoken of their shock after two dogs were found dead inside a town centre flat.
Police officers were called to a property on Beech Court in Dereham just before 11pm on Saturday (August 22).
Nine other dogs inside the flat were rescued, with some being described as "down to the bare bones".
One neighbour said they had been told by the owner that the pets were "fine" and had been left with food and water "adequate for eight days".
They added that some of the dogs had to be carried out, with one of the labradors "right down to the ribs".

The incident was described as "horrible" by one local, while it was also mentioned that there were "all sorts of breeds" in the flat, including labradors, German shepherds, French bulldogs and huskies.
A window had to be smashed by a neighbour so that police would enter the property.
A Norfolk Police spokesman confirmed the dogs were taken to the vets for treatment.
An RSPCA spokeswoman added they were aware of the incident.
