As the earthy autumn colours start to creep in and the weather gets cooler, Norfolk gardens still have plenty to offer.

Secret gardens across the county are opening to the public as part of the National Garden Scheme (NGS) this month and visitors can take in everything they have to offer.

The NGS raises money for health and nursing charities through admissions and refreshments.

The garden is open "by arrangement" until October 11.

Dogs are welcome at Holme Hale Hall.

This three-acre plantsman’s garden has been carefully developed over 40 years by its owners.

With diligent curation, its rose, shrub and colour themed herbaceous borders, with an extensive range of perennials, delight and inspire visitors as do the woodland area, orchard and small arboretum.

Both gardens offer wheelchair access.
