Arson attack at school: Police pursuing several lines of enquiry

Police are following several lines of enquiry as investigations continue into an arson attack at a high school.
Emergency services were called to Northgate High School in Dereham in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Lockers outside the school buildings were engulfed in flames and police are treating it as arson.

Eyewitnesses described seeing a group of teenagers in the school car park shortly before the fire.
A Norfolk police spokesman said: "We are following several lines of enquiry. One is that a group of young people was involved. We are also reviewing CCTV footage. We are waiting for the fire service to report on the cause of the fire."
The school has 1,105 students and a spokesman said on the weekend that the damage was confined to the exterior of the sports hall and included covered areas and lockers. They will assess the damage and action required over half-term.
